Our cover explained

Core covers:


  • Cover for your property if it is damaged and has to be repaired or rebuilt due to an event covered under your insurance like a fire

Employers Liability

  • Compulsory by law for all businesses that employ staff on a full time or part time basis with some limited exceptions such as family members engaged in the business who may be exempt.
  • Standard covers the legal liability for bodily injury to employees with a limit of indemnity of £10m.

Public Liability

  • Property Owners Liability covers legal liability for bodily injury to third parties and damage to their property.
  • Standard cover at a limit of £2m but there are other limit options for you.

Legal expenses

  • Indemnity of up to £100,000 to cover legal fees for a range of disputes such as Employment, tax, compliance… plus many more

Landlord contents

  • Contents cover provides cover against damage to fixtures and fittings that aren’t part of the building – such as fridges or washing machines, free standing ovens; as well as beds, sofas and other free standing items of furniture.
  • Damage to floor coverings are included– This means carpet, laminate floors and lino.
  • Replacement locks up to £25,000 – in case they’re broken due to a burglary or need replacing because of theft of keys.
  • Alternative accommodation for tenants – covers up to £25,000 for housing tenants if the property can’t be lived in due to an insured event, such as flood or fire.

Claims explained

We’re aiming to help our customers in as many ways as possible and one great example of how we can help is a claim that was put in for a home where the ground moved and caused damage to the building (subsidence).

The cause of the subsidence was a few Oak trees soaking up all the water from the clay soil causing the ground to crack. Until these trees were removed the issue would continue.

The good news however was that our claims team realised the trees were part of the local authorities responsibility. The Authority were then called into action and removed the trees and the customers house was repaired.

All in all, a great result for customers everywhere.
